Geography in Key Stage 3

There has been some outstanding work across Years 7 and 8 this half term. I have been so pleased to see that the students are growing in independence with regard to handing in homework and completing independent research, which is a skill that they will need to develop throughout the key stage as they prepare for upper school.

Year 7 have been learning about the continent of Africa. They have completed some amazing homework projects and are gradually learning many of the names of the countries of Africa and their human, physical and environmental features.

The Year 8’s have recently completed their work on Russia. This culminated in some very detailed information leaflets which used all of the knowledge that they had gathered both in class and for homework (there are some photos below of our classroom display). We have just moved on to learning about the Middle East and are looking forward to finding out more…
