Our Year 3 topic this term is ‘Flow’ and the children have been learning everything there is to know about Rivers.
In Merlins class this week we have been looking at the unfortunate polluting of rivers and the effects this has on wildlife. The children were very enthusiastic to ask different questions to either a local resident, a litter picker or a county councillor and gain their opinions on the problems with our rivers. Today in Merlins, the children have really enjoyed doing hot seating where they take on the persona of one of the individuals and answer the questions in role. The rest of the class were excited to ask their important questions and those in the hot seat were really imaginative with their answers.
Hopefully, Merlins can come up with some good ideas to prevent rivers being polluted in the future!
